I'M CALLING IT A WEDDING {CHRIS + RICHARD'S CIVIL PARTNERSHIP @ CLANDON PARK}

I wanted to put a largish set of pictures together for you for this wedding. Like any other weddings this one became very intense very quickly, and there was early talk about what it means to be photographed together as a couple, and how that might be the same or different than a traditional boy/girl wedding. The obvious thing to do would be to go for the jugular and shout Gay all over the place, but honestly I wanted to approach this as I always do - create the best possible document of two people in love, celebrating in a big way.

ROYAL MILITARY ACADEMY, SANDHURST ~ AN ELITE WEDDING VENUE, A STUNNING BRIDE, AND A BIG PARTY

I love shooting Military weddings. There's a real sense of pride and strength in the air and to say the forces know how to have a party is an understatement!

Sandhurst Military Academy, is steeped in history, and you can feel it when you're there. The buildings are themselves, strength and standing. Very grand and imposing, yet it's surprisingly one of the calmest places you can find yourself in. And the army is very welcoming, full of humour, and generous.

{SITE NEWS} BRAND NEW PORTFOLIO GALLERY NOW LIVE ~ BOTLEYS MANSION PHOTOGRAPHY

I've been waiting to upload this gallery for a while now. It's something a little bit different for me in the fact that I've given one wedding it's own permanent gallery page. I really like this format as it can fully show all of the highlights from a wedding and give a real feel for the chronology of the day. This was a great wedding at Botleys Mansion in Surrey. It's a fantastic venue and one which lends itself to some great photographic opportunities. So here's a peek at what is now up on it's own page on the gallery.

GETTING READY {HOLLY & PETER ~ LOSELEY PARK}

Just a quick one today - a preview of Holly and Peter's wedding at Loseley Park, Guildford. It was a pretty packed and exciting wedding day, but this very simple portrait from when Holly was getting ready just feels like everything's slowed down and distilled in that moment of contemplation and anticipation. In some ways the bridal preparations, as hectic, frenetic, or even sometimes calm as they are can be the most exciting moments to capture. This one was a fleeting glimpse into the eye of the storm and just before their explosive day took off. Thanks H & P, I'll see you both soon!

NORTHBROOK PARK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER ~ A Stylish Weekday Budget Wedding

Northbrook park is one of my favourite venues on the Surrey and Hampshire border. From a wedding photographer's point of view there's nothing quite like it. There's a magical quality to the gardens, only enhanced by the magnificent (and don't they know it!) peacocks hanging around. It's not a rare thing to hear their call reverberate around the walled gardens, often almost on cue during the toasts! Christina and Anh had a blinding day, and very stylish at that. They manages to pack in so much and I loved every minute of it - loads of photo opportunities and a really up-for-it crowd.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT WASING PARK ~ RUSHING AROUND GETTING READY

Another quick one today. I've been wanting to blog this wedding for a little while now but haven't got around to it properly. Dribs and drabs. I came across this one today, which didn't necessarily make the final cut, but I really like it for all the obvious reasons. It moves, it shows a bit of the excitement and chaos in the buzz and preparations before the ceremony.

Wedding Photographer in Worthing, West Sussex - {Laura & Ding tie the knot}

Loved, Loved, Loved this wedding. Two of the nicest people you could meet in a lovely part of the world. Laura and Ding's wedding was all about who you are in the place you are in! It was a wedding of carefully thought out detail - everything was put together, made, or placed by the girls and their families were right there to support.
