Weddings are in themselves not a standard thing. Pretty much every wedding today is contemporary. It's of the moment. It's now. So why has your photographer got 'contemporary' plastered all over their site? Is that really a term that sells? It might help the Google search point you to their page, but what does it mean?

Digital photography has made every wedding photographer capable of shooting ten fold what he used to. There are new exciting possibilities open to us in some ways because of the sheer volume of pictures that can be taken. Photographers are expected to commit to more of your day, be present for every moment. The very fact that a photographer is working as a wedding photographer means that you are probably going to get contemporary coverage. Modern weddings aren't generally shot any other way.

Reportage wedding photography is often a way for your photographer to avoid the more standard group shots. Maybe because they can feel cheesy, or a little contrived. Maybe because people management just isn't their thing. If your wedding photographs just end up being a few black and white candid shots of your mates having a drink, why did you go to the trouble of booking a photographer in the first place?
Stand in a line, smile, one for the parents. Is that what we mean by Classic photography? It doesn't have to be so stuffy - the smaller group shots can often be about interaction and getting together with important people who you love and sometimes don't get to see as often  as you like. It's an opportunity not to be missed, or messed up...
