I know I'm jumping the gun here, but there's no harm in a little planning! - And I know that we start seeing ads for the impending Christmas season starting as early as September and no matter how many years it happens it always feels a bit much...
But now is a good time to book your wedding photography if you're having a winter wedding.
Winter weddings can throw up some pretty awkward challenges for some photographers, but I find that there's so much more that outweighs the difficulties of lighting conditions and bad weather. For one thing, assuming that it's going to be cold and wet gives me an advantage. Knowing that I have to be prepared for whatever conditions means that I can always augment the natural daylight and ambient light with studio and professional lighting, adding a touch of magazine photo shoot style glamour to the photographs. A winter wedding can also determine the style and direction of the party. The flowers you choose might be warming rich reds and oranges, and the sense of occasion can be dressed to elegance. It can be lit up like a firework or more subtle and relaxed. You can have casino tables, great band entertainment, magicians, and all sorts.
And whatever happens, it can still be you who has the Winter Wonderland wedding, and it will always be the wedding that your guests remember!
