Another quick one today. I've been wanting to blog this wedding for a little while now but haven't got around to it properly. Dribs and drabs. I came across this one today, which didn't necessarily make the final cut, but I really like it for all the obvious reasons. It moves, it shows a bit of the excitement and chaos in the buzz and preparations before the ceremony. These days it feels like we're not supposed to like the slightly haphazard blurry pictures, but sometimes they can be the ones that really convey what it felt like to be there, and that's often what we want to get when we're looking through our wedding pictures. Something that feels like it's throwaway suddenly becomes truthful and real. Uncoloured by design or the photographer's ego. As with this picture - technically not my favourite shot from the day, but it really takes me back to the bang and clatter of that particular wedding. I can't put my finger on it, but that's what appeals to me with this one.... x
